Le dernier opus de Raphael Saadiq, The Way I See It, apparait à plusieurs reprises dans ce genre de classements.

24. Raphael Saadiq, The Way I See It
Raphael Saadiq is easily one of the most underappreciated forces in popular music. His contributions as a producer and songwriter in the past decade reveal an undying love for classic soul, and in a way, The Way I See It is the record he’s been leading up to since his days in Tony! Toni! Toné! From Motown to Philly to Stax, the influence is clear, but this feels as real and relevant as anything being passed off as R&B these days.

32. 'The Way I See It,' Raphael Saadiq (2008)
If it's retro, he's all action. The way we see it, the former Tony! Toni! Tone! man can tinker with the old Motown tricks any way he sees fit.

8. Raphael Saadiq -- "Hundred Yard Dash" (Columbia)

He's played games with his name, but the once and future Charlie Wiggins has kept the faith with soul music's fundamentals since his days with Tony! Toni! Toné. This lithe strut channels Marvin Gaye's early Motown singles

(think "Ain't That Peculiar"), replete with narcotic bass line and taut vocals.

"time to get back in the studio - gearin up for the new record in 2010"
